Age and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to submit information about the property or project.
Preliminary planning service
SunSized provides educational information, preliminary solar and battery estimates, project organization, email support, and contractor introductions. Recommendations are based on information supplied by the homeowner and generalized planning assumptions.
Not a final design or professional service
SunSized is not acting as the installer, licensed contractor, engineer, architect, electrician, utility, lender, tax adviser, permitting authority, equipment manufacturer, or final system designer. SunSized does not issue construction documents, engineering calculations, binding proposals, financing approvals, tax advice, utility approvals, or guarantees of project eligibility.
No guarantee of results
System size, panel count, production, offset, battery capacity, savings, backup performance, pricing, incentives, timelines, and eligibility are estimates only. Actual results depend on site conditions, equipment, weather, shading, utility rules, rate plans, household behavior, installation quality, permitting, interconnection, and other factors outside SunSized's control.
Homeowner information
You are responsible for providing accurate and lawful information. Do not upload documents you do not have permission to share. You should review the recommendation and notify SunSized of material errors or changes.
Contractor introductions
SunSized may coordinate an introduction to an appropriate qualified contractor. Contractors are independent businesses and are solely responsible for their own licensing, representations, site evaluation, pricing, proposals, contracts, financing discussions, permits, construction, warranties, workmanship, safety, and legal compliance.
An introduction is not a guarantee, endorsement, or warranty of a contractor or project outcome. Homeowners should independently review contractor licensing, insurance, references, proposals, agreements, and required consumer disclosures before signing anything.
Your relationship with contractors
Any final design, equipment selection, price, contract, financing arrangement, permitting, interconnection, installation, service, or warranty is handled directly between the homeowner and the contractor or other applicable provider. SunSized is not a party to those agreements unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
Contractor compensation
SunSized may receive marketing, lead-access, referral, or other compensation from an independent contractor in connection with an introduction or project opportunity. Unless separately disclosed and agreed, homeowners are not charged by SunSized for using the preliminary recommendation service. Contractor compensation does not change the homeowner's responsibility to independently evaluate the contractor and all project terms.
Email-first communication
SunSized communicates primarily by email. You agree that project correspondence and copies of recommendations may be sent to the email address you provide. We will not call or text unless you specifically request it.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the website, submit false or unlawful information, attempt to interfere with the site or its forms, upload malicious files, scrape or copy the service for commercial use, or use SunSized to violate another person's rights.
Intellectual property
The SunSized name, logo, website design, calculator structure, written content, and original graphics are owned by or licensed to SunSized. You may use your own recommendation for personal project evaluation, but may not reproduce or commercially exploit the website or its content without permission.
Availability and changes
SunSized may change, suspend, or discontinue features, assumptions, service areas, or contractor-matching availability. The website may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors.
Limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SunSized is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website, reliance on a preliminary estimate, actions of independent contractors, utility decisions, or project outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
California law
These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact SunSized and make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
